ELRS comes in either the 915/868 or 2.4 G versions and I’ve found the 2.4 to be extremely impressive. You’ll likely also want to upgrade your antenna. I really like the larger micro module as it has a built-in screen, LED lights and can be used without having to set up lua scripts. They make an ELRS Nano module (for smaller controllers like the FrSky X-Lite or X9D) as well as an ELRS micro module (for larger radios like the Radiomaster TX16 or FrSky Taranis QX7). I’ve tested out a few and found most ELRS modules work surprisingly well. In order to fly any drone with an ELRS radio link you’ll need an ELRS module. The Mobula 6 also uses smaller 0702 brushless motors, likely making it less efficient. The Meteor65 consistently gets me close to 4 minutes of flight time per 1S battery, whereas the Mobula 6 quad consistently delivers less than 3 minutes. I prefer flying the Meteor 65 ELRS over the Mobula 6 ELRS for one big reason. I find they help give me a little more punch and definitely are more efficient. Another big difference between this quad and most 65 mm quads is that it is using 35 mm propellers instead of 31 mm propellers. The motors are BetaFPV’s 0802 SE brushless motors. The Meteor65 uses the superior BT 2.0 connector for smoother more efficient power. The Meteor 65 Pro is only 22 grams and 30 with one of the included 300 mw 1S batteries. The biggest improvement on this tiny quad is obviously the ELRS receiver that is built into the flight controller. TLDR… Better and cheaper version of Crossfire. If you aren’t sure what ELRS you can read about it here. The new BetaFPV Meteor65 Pro is currently the best ELRS Tiny Whoop you can get, edging out the Mobula 6 ELRS quad. We are seeing it on more and more drones and now we have a few Tiny Whoop ELRS options. I’ve been a huge fan of ELRS ever since it came out and it is one of the best things to happen to the hobby. That means you’ll get an incredible link to your drone for an even better flying experience. The BetaFPV Meteor 65 Pro is now available with ELRS built into the flight controller.
